Negative Vetting 1 — NV1
Supports ongoing access to classified resources up to and including SECRET, subject to the role and sponsoring entity’s requirements.
Negative Vetting 2 — NV2
Supports ongoing access to classified resources up to and including TOP SECRET, subject to the role and sponsoring entity’s requirements.
The required clearance level is determined by the position, contract and sponsoring entity—not by the candidate’s personal preference.

Can an individual apply for an AGSVA clearance without a sponsor?
No. Australian Government security clearances must be sponsored by an eligible government or business entity. AuthNTick assesses requests before agreeing to act as sponsor.
Does paying AuthNTick guarantee sponsorship or a security clearance?
No. Payment does not guarantee sponsorship or an outcome. AuthNTick must first approve the business need and eligibility for sponsorship. AGSVA independently determines whether a clearance is granted.
What clearance levels can AuthNTick support?
AuthNTick supports eligible Baseline, NV1 and NV2 sponsorship requests, subject to role requirements, eligibility and compliance assessment.
Do I need to be an Australian citizen?
Australian citizenship and a checkable background are ordinarily required. Exceptional waiver arrangements may exist, but they must be supported by the sponsoring entity and are not guaranteed.
How long does an AGSVA clearance take?
Assessment periods vary by clearance level, application completeness, candidate circumstances and AGSVA workload. Refer to official AGSVA guidance for current timeframe information.
Can I get a clearance to improve my employment prospects?
A clearance must be connected to an appropriate role, contract or genuine business requirement. It is not a general qualification that can be purchased speculatively.
What happens after AuthNTick agrees to sponsor me?
Applicable screening is completed, AuthNTick initiates the process, the candidate submits through myClearance, AGSVA performs the assessment, and AuthNTick provides appropriate ongoing administrative support.
Does AuthNTick decide whether my clearance is granted?
No. AGSVA independently conducts the security clearance assessment and makes the clearance decision.
Can AuthNTick help an employer screen several candidates?
